Natural Loop Tail Instructions

Measure approximately 3 inches up from the bottom of your horses tail bone .
This will vary based upon the height of your horse
and length of his tailbone.
You want the extension
to fall to the fetlock area.
Part your horse’s tail hair and pull the upper hairs of the horse's
tail up and out of the way.
You can have and assistant place their hand on the hair to hold
it out of the way or secure with bands or clips to keep it out of the way.
Next, in the center of your horse’s tail bone pick
up 3 small sections of hair.
Thread the center section of hair throug
h the loop of the extension.
Make sure that the extension is laying
flat against the tail bone.
Now tightly
braid the sections together.
You only need to braid down 2-3 inches, the
n secure with a rubber band.
If you are going to be Hunter Braiding your ho
rse's tail you are finished.
Drop your upper hair back down and gently brush
and begin your Hunter Braid.

If you are Not Hunter Braiding th
e tail then you will want to
do one more step to further
secure your Tail Extension.
Move down to the bottom of your horse's tail bone
and pick up a lock of hair.
Now, pick up a lock from your Tail Extension and braid together. (this will keep your Tail Extension
from swinging side to side).
Secure your braid with a rubber band, drop your upper hair
back down and gently brush.
The first time you attach the extension stand to the side and have so
meone slowly back the horse.
If the tail starts to drag the ground STOP. Move the extension higher up the tailbone so that the horse can back withou
t stepping on the extension.

Extension Care
All tails are 100% Natural Horse Hair and should be shampooe
d and conditioned regularly.
Blow dry and fluff your exten
sion to give it a full look.
To remove knots use your fingers or gently brush, DON’
T PULL, your tail extension.
Do not leave your tail e
xtension attached overnight.
Remove the extension after your day
of competition is complete.
With the Tie-in style, you may leave your b
raided section in overnight.
However, the next day prior to attaching your extension be sure to check t
hat the braid is still snug.
To maintain the health of your horse’s tail, it is important that you remove the braided section at
the end of the show weekend.
